How It Works

TabScout is built to work on all modern browsers. Choose your platform below to get the latest release.
Download the latest pre-built .zip for Chrome or Firefox from our GitHub Releases page.
tabscout-chrome-mv3.zip & tabscout-firefox-mv2.zip
Load the unpacked extension directly. Works on Chrome, Brave, Arc, and other Chromium browsers.
1. Download tabscout-chrome-mv3.zip & extract.
2. Go to chrome://extensions β Enable Developer mode.
3. Click Load unpacked β Select the extracted folder.
Dedicated Firefox build with full feature parity. Load as a temporary add-on for testing.
1. Download tabscout-firefox-mv2.zip & extract.
2. Go to about:debugging β This Firefox.
3. Click Load Temporary Add-on β Select manifest.json in the extracted folder.
Safari support is planned. Requires macOS + Xcode to convert the Firefox build.

Supported Sites
Confidence: high = title + episode from URL med = title extracted, episode needs page title low = opaque IDs, page title fallback only
Setup & Pairing
.env.example to .env in the project root and fill in your credentials from step 1.
npm install and npm run build (or npm run build -- --browser firefox) to generate the extension packages.
